Adult Education and Literacy (AEL), started in 2012, is an indigenous adult literacy programs with an objectives of promoting literacy programs in rural areas in Somaliland registered under at the department of Non-formal Education in Somaliland. AEL is governed by Leadership Team (LT) that represent from different professionals and rural community representatives.
What We Do
AEL is committed to operate in fulfillment of these commitments:-
- Establish a literacy programs in the existing formal schools in rural areas
- Develop and provide literacy materials to rural communities.
- Train adult education and literacy trainers in rural areas.

We envision rural communities who are well informed as well as educated. All rural communities are able to meet their goals through accessing high quality adult education and literacy services and resources
